The dwellings sensitively follow the footprints and form of the agricultural buildings currently on site, and are sympathetic to local building materials.
The landscape approach is to treat the dwellings and their gardens as ‘clearings’ in woodland, enhancing the adjoining ancient woodland and helping blur the boundary between the development and the wider AONB landscape. Wildflower meadows extend from the gardens, further enhancing wildlife value.
