Since 2016 we have been assisting the Diocese of London with a range of small-scale residential proposals on infill sites within their estate.

Location: various locations in London

Client: Diocese of London

Architects: Metropolitan Workshop / Fraser Brown MacKenna

We were appointed by the Diocese to develop landscape ideas for a number of infill sites in London; two initial sites have been taken to detailed planning submissions – John Keble Vicarage in Barnet (where we have also provided an integrated sustainable drainage design), and All Saints Rectory in Poplar.

Both provide a sustainable approach to the landscape whilst dealing with sensitive surroundings, including extensive native planting, minimised hard surfacing with porous paving throughout, sustainable drainage with swales and wet meadow areas, and numerous features to encourage wildlife and biodiversity.
