Brondesbury Park
Extensive formal garden spaces respond to the form and arrangement of the residential buildings
Location: Brondesbury, London
Client: Regal Homes
Architect: Hopkins Architects
The project for 74 high-quality residential units was conceived around a series of landscape spaces that mediate between the scale of the buildings and their surrounding context. The communal entrance at the centre of the scheme offers a clear pedestrian route from Brondesbury Avenue and links through the site to a rear courtyard with an extensive landscape, centred around a group of retained trees.
A number of the spaces are on podium, presenting a range of design challenges; an integrated approach, working closely with other design team members, provided solutions to these challenges.
